International Intership trip to KIGAM, South Korea, 04-10 August
In a close collaboration with Korean Institute of Geology & Minerals
(KIGAM), the Professional Master of
Engineering in Geo-Exploration and Petroleum Geo-Engineering (PME-GEPG) organised an intership trip as part of the study program to South Korea from 04 to 10 August, 2013, following the first trip of last year in September. On the intership trip, the program co-organized a joint seminar
for their graduate students and
UST students (University
of Science and
Technology). This venture was coordinated by Dr. Pham Huy Giao of AIT and Dr. Seonghyung
Jang, Director of Petroleum and Marine Information Research Center of KIGAM, also
an adjunct faculty member of the PME-GEPG program at AIT-VN, in HCM City
since 2010.
From left to right: Ms. Do Hoang Truc Uyen, Program staff; Mr. Do Chi Cuong, CLJOC; Ms. Vuong Thi Ha; Mr. Mach Tho Binh, TLTSJOC; Mr. Le Minh Hai, HLHVJOC; Dr. Pham Huy Giao, Program Coordinator; Dr. Seohyung Jang, KIGAM; Ms. Vo Thi Hai Quan, VPI; Mr. Do Van Thanh, Fairfield; Mr. Duong Tan Da, PVEP; Mr. Tran Quang Dat, CLJOC.
During the one-week long trip, the students had an opportunity to attend the MOU Signing Ceremony between Vietnam Association for Geophysicists (VAG) and Korean Society of Earth and Exploration Geophysicists (KSEG) and visited one of the most prestigious universities in South Korea, Seoul National University.

Visit to Seoul National University (SNU)
During the trip, we have a precious chance to take a city tour around Seoul and Deajon city, which has always a nice memory about Korean culture and the people here.
